Presbyopia
This is when the eye cannot focus on objects close to you. It occurs with aging, normally between the ages of 42 to 50 years.
Someone with normal eyes that is diagnosed with presbyopia would still be able to focus on objects that is a distance away, but experience difficulty on focusing on objects closer than 1 m.
It is the result from the loss of flexibility of the lens, Meaning the lens cannot change shape to make it possible to focus closer than 1 m.
